I am six foot seven inches, unless I'm trying to get an upgrade on a plane, in which case I'm six foot eight.Over the years, believe me, it hasn't escaped my notice that I'm tall. I hit my head on things, I'm tutted at in cinemas, and I find it difficult to buy adequately lengthy trousers.
But even if these little reminders weren't there, I would still know that I'm tall, and this is why, I am told that I'm tall ten to fifteen times a day, every day, by total strangers.
